Child Find
Preschool special education screening services for children ages 3 to 5. Parents, private preschools, pediatricians, and other community members may contact the district special education office to refer a child for a preschool evaluation.

First Things First
Statewide organization that funds early education and health programs to prepare young children to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. Local regional councils, staffed by community volunteers, decide how funds are spent to support the healthy development and learning of Arizona’s young children.

Read On Arizona
Arizona state’s early literacy initiative. Launched in 2013, partners in Read On Arizona take a collaborative approach to improving language and literacy outcomes for Arizona’s children from birth to age 8, with strategic focus on school readiness and third grade reading proficiency.

Westside Head Start
Comprehensive childhood education through a holistic approach by working with the whole family. Our programs emphasize pre-reading, language, math, cognitive skills, health and social and emotional competence to prepare disadvantaged children for school and to maximize their potential for a bright future.
We also offer a parenting curriculum, referrals and resources for our families to support their growth and needs.
